چکیده
Pseudo Voronoi Tessellation via Anisotropic Meshing Our tessellation technique to represent organic texture consists of three steps: (1) elliptic or rectangular particle packing; (2) anisotropic meshing by connecting the centers of the particles; and (3) Voronoi tessellation as a dual of the anisotropic mesh. Given preferred cell sizes and directionality within a geometric domain, the technique outputs Voronoi polygons compatible with the specified cell sizes, directionality, and anisotropy.

Generation of Organic Textures with Controlled Anisotropy and Directionality via Packing Rectangular and Elliptical Cells
This paper presents a computational method for generating organic textures. The method first tessellates a region into a set of pseudo-Voronoi polygons using a particle model and then generates the detailed geometry of each of the polygons using Loop’s subdivision surface with fractal noise. Unlike previous particle models, which are designed for creating hexagonal cell arrangements, this parti...
متن کاملStochastic Analysis of Seepage through Natural Alluvial Deposits Considering Mechanical Anisotropy
The soil is a heterogeneous and anisotropic medium. Hydraulic conductivity, an intrinsic property of natural alluvial deposits varies both deterministically and randomly in space and has different values in various directions. In the present study, the permeability of natural deposits and its influence on the seepage flow through a natural alluvial deposit is studied. The 2D Finite Difference c...
متن کاملEFFECT OF FINISH ROLLING TEMPERATURE ON MICROSTRUCTURE,TEXTURE AND PLANAR ANISOTROPY IN ALUMINUM ALLOY AA3004 SHEETS
AA3004 alloy is widely used in can making. The major concern in the production of canbodies is earing, which develop by high planar anisotropy of rolled sheet. Balance ofrecrystallisation and rolling textures together with a uniform and fine grain microstructure canminimize the earing. The effects of finish rolling temperature (FRT) on planar anisotropy, microstructure, texture development and m...
متن کاملUsing perceptual relation of regularity and anisotropy in the texture with independent component model for defect detection
This paper addresses the raw textile defect detection problem using independent components approach with insights from human vision system. Human vision system is known to have specialized receptive fields that respond to certain type of input signals. Orientationselective bar cells and grating cells are examples of receptive fields in the primary visual cortex that are selective to periodicand...
متن کاملAnisotropic expansion of the plant cell wall.
Plants shape their organs with a precision demanded by optimal function; organ shaping requires control over cell wall expansion anisotropy. Focusing on multicellular organs, I survey the occurrence of expansion anisotropy and discuss its causes and proposed controls. Expansion anisotropy of a unit area of cell wall is characterized by the direction and degree of anisotropy. The direction of ma...
